ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Buyer is king. This
sentence is certainly familiar to our ears. Customers are people who faithfully
buy various products and services that we sell. But actually the customer has
other abilities that can be beneficial or even detrimental. Customers are
people who can greatly influence the continuity of our business. When we make
one customer happy, we easily get dozens of other customers. Conversely, when
we make a customer disappointed, then we also have the potential to lose dozens
of other customers. Attracting the attention of the customer and captivating
his heart to continue to buy our products is something that is not easy and
difficult. Basically, good service can make customer attention be directed
directly to our products, but the few mistakes we make can be a time bomb for
our business. There are various strategies that we can employ to attract the
attention of customers. Here are tips and strategies that we can do to attract
the attention of customers and win their hearts so that customers go back to
buying the products or services that we sell.
My strategi to get
customer is
1. Identify Customers
Needs
The first way to attract
customers' attention is to recognize their needs. People who feel that if their
needs are met by a company, will feel comfortable and will continue to visit
and buy products from the company. Therefore, it is very important for us to
recognize customer needs. The easiest way to find out customer needs and
attract customers' attention is to ask them directly. We can do this by
visiting consumers directly or by distributing questionnaires distributed
online. We can also know the needs of customers by recording or tracking the
products that are most in demand by our consumers so far. Through these notes,
we will more easily find out what products are most in demand and which
products are less in demand by consumers.
Every customer wants to
be treated well. Therefore, never discriminate between customers. It is
undeniable, sometimes there are some consumers who are cool to chat with. Even
from mere chat, our relationship with the customer can turn into friendship.
When these customers visit us, there is special treatment that we give.
Actually this is fine, but do not let this special treatment harm other
customers. An example of preferential treatment that is detrimental to other
customers is to put our favorite customers first in line, even though there are
other customers who have come and queued up first.
2. Give Bonus
we can attract the
attention of customers by providing various kinds of bonuses on each
transaction. A bonus doesn't have to be something of high value. Even something
simple will be very meaningful and be able to attract the attention of
customers more than if we did not give any bonus.
3. Watch the Small Things
Little things that exist
in the store or in our service will have a significant impact in attracting the
attention of customers. Have you ever seen a store that sells goods at
"odd" prices? For example by attaching a price tag of 14,990 rupiah?
This might be aimed at giving an illusion to the customer's mind. With this
price, the customer will feel that the price of the item he bought is 14
thousand rupiah, even though the price of the item is actually almost 15
thousand rupiah. This method might be right to make customers interested in
buying goods, but it is not good to maintain their loyalty. To attract the
attention of customers, it helps us round off prices on the products we sell.
This is to make it easier for customers to calculate their expenses, so they
are not shocked when they see the total price at the cashier. In addition,
rounding the price is also useful to make it easy for us to give change. Do not
let us usurp the rights of customers by giving inappropriate change. For
example, if the customer buys a product for 14,990 rupiahs and he pays with 15
thousand rupiahs, then the customer has the right to 10 rupiah change.
Unfortunately, because Indonesia does not have 10-rupiah denominations, many
sellers feel innocent when they do not return the 10-rupiah money they are
entitled to. In addition to rounding off prices, we can also attract the
attention of customers by helping choose products. Some customers may find it
difficult to choose the right product for themselves, so as sellers we must be
alert to help them. There is one thing that must be considered in this regard,
namely do not be too trailing our customers. Some stores try to attract the
attention of customers in excessive ways. Wherever the customer goes, the shop
assistant will follow. This action might be well-intentioned, i.e. to
facilitate customers when they need help. But unfortunately this action can
actually make customers feel uncomfortable. The customer will feel like a "thief"
who is watching his movements. This action makes the buyer feel intimidated and
ultimately chooses to shop elsewhere.
